Job Summary:

We are seeking an LS-DYNA Expert to support automotive market clients in the Middle East. As an Explicit analysis expert, you will focus on providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support, delivering customer training, and assisting clients with crash simulation applications using LS-DYNA. You will play a key role in enabling clients to leverage simulation solutions to improve productivity and meet crash safety standards. You will be a part of our positive, dynamic team of enthusiastic and passionate engineers striving to deliver the highest quality solutions to our customers, advancing your knowledge, experience, and your impact on the success of our customers and Ansys.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality pre-sales and post-sales technical support for automotive crash and safety simulation using LS-DYNA.
  • Conduct basic and advanced training for clients on LS-DYNA applications, focusing on automotive crashworthiness, occupant safety, and pedestrian protection.
  • Develop and present demo cases, case studies, and technical presentations to showcase LS-DYNA’s capabilities to prospective and current customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to articulate LS-DYNA’s value proposition, aligning solutions with customer requirements and workflows.
  • Analyze customer needs and propose simulation methodologies to address crash and safety challenges.
  • Develop and validate crash dummy models, including FAT EuroSID2, PDB WorldSID, and FAT BioRID II, for regulatory and development testing.
  • Collaborate with customers on the integration of crash dummy models into vehicle crash simulations, ensuring compliance with global standards like Euro NCAP, FMVSS, and IIHS.
  • Provide expert guidance on finite element modeling, including mesh generation, material properties, and boundary conditions for crash scenarios.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, supporting successful adoption and renewal of LS-DYNA software licenses.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:

  • Hold a Masters/PhD in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural dynamics, with at least 4 years using LS-DYNA for explicit dynamics and crash simulations.
  • Certification or formal training in LS-DYNA from Dynamore.
  • Experience with tools such as ANSA, HyperMesh, Animator, or equivalent pre-/post-processing software.
  • Knowledge of LS-OPT or other optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of ALE or S-ALE solvers, as well as FSI coupling capabilities, and the SPH and/or DEM solver would be a real asset
  • Experience working with Automotive Industry
  • Familiarity with engineering codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of advanced material modeling in LS-DYNA, including concrete, steel, and composite materials under high strain rates.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability to communicate highly complex, technical and business subjects.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Logical problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within the region.
