Sr. Accounting and Financial Officer – Dubai
Position Overview:
Fluid Codes DMCC is in search of a seasoned Senior Accountant & Financial Officer to lead our financial operations with precision and expertise. Person in above position will be responsible for managing various aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company’s financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in accordance with international accounting standards (IAS) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including IFRS and GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
