Lead Systems Engineer- Aerospace & Defense
Job Summary:
This position for QuantaSim- Services arm of Fluid Codes. We are looking for an experienced professional to execute projects, deliver training, and mentor teams in systems engineering and architecture modeling in Aerospace & Defence / Mechanical domain. The role involves advancing system design practices, implementing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) frameworks, and managing lifecycle processes, with a focus on Aerospace and Defense. Proficiency in ANSYS tools like System Architecture Modeler and ModelCenter is a plus, but strong expertise in systems engineering, project execution, and training delivery is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide engineers in understanding and applying Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Requirement Management concepts to engineering workflows.
- Deliver training sessions on system architecture modeling, emphasizing model-based systems engineering concepts.
- Provide mentorship to teams on implementing advanced systems engineering frameworks.
- Create training materials, case studies, and best practices to drive knowledge transfer and process improvements.
- Conduct workshops on requirement management principles and tools.
- Collaborate with teams to execute system-level design projects and develop innovative solutions.
Education/Experience/Skills: (Required)
- Master’s or PhD in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in systems engineering or related discipline.
- Good to have: At least 2 years of experience in delivering training on systems design, MBSE, or requirement management.
- Proficiency in SysML for system architecture and modeling.
- Familiarity with MBSE frameworks and tools (e.g., Ansys SCADE Suite, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar).
- Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar).
- Knowledge of Aerospace & Defense standards compliance is desirable.
- Good to Have: Hands-on experience with ANSYS tools such as System Architecture Modeler, ModelCenter, or others in systems modeling.
