Job Summary:

We are seeking an LS-DYNA expert specializing in explosive modeling to support our clients in the Middle East. Based in Dubai, UAE, this role involves providing pre-sales activities, technical support, training, and consultation for projects involving blast effects, explosive simulations, and structural response analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LS-DYNA’s explicit dynamics capabilities and be passionate about helping customers optimize their engineering processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality pre- and post-sales technical support for customers using LS-DYNA for explosive modeling and blast simulations.
  • Conduct training sessions on LS-DYNA applications for explosive analysis, including structural response to blasts, fragmentation, and shock wave propagation.
  • Develop and present demo cases, case studies, and technical presentations to showcase LS-DYNA’s capabilities to prospective and current customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to articulate LS-DYNA’s value proposition, aligning solutions with customer requirements and workflows.
  • Develop and validate finite element models for blast simulations, including material modeling and boundary condition setup.
  • Analyze customer requirements, propose simulation methodologies, and deliver tailored solutions to address complex explosive modeling challenges.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry standards and regulations for explosive modeling and blast-resistant design.
  • Provide expert guidance on finite element modeling, including mesh generation, material properties, and boundary conditions for blast scenarios.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, supporting successful adoption and renewal of LS-DYNA software licenses.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:

  • Hold a Masters/PhD in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural dynamics or blast modeling, with at least 4 years using LS-DYNA for explicit dynamics and explosive simulations.

  • Expertise in modeling and simulating blast effects, including shock wave propagation, structural response, and material damage.

  • Certification or formal training in LS-DYNA from Dynamore.

  • Knowledge of ALE or S-ALE solvers, as well as FSI coupling capabilities, and the SPH and/or DEM solver would be a real asset

  • Strong understanding of advanced material modeling in LS-DYNA, including concrete, steel, and composite materials under high strain rates.

  • Familiarity with blast-resistant design standards and guidelines such as UFC, ISO, or ASTM.

  • Experience with tools such as ANSA, HyperMesh, Animator, or equivalent pre-/post-processing software.

  • Experience in consulting or working with industries involving defense, construction, or infrastructure projects.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability to communicate highly complex, technical and business subjects.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Logical problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the region
