Job Summary:
We are seeking a CFD Application Engineer for our Dubai, United Arab Emirates office. In this role, by using Ansys CFD products, in the day-by-day job you will:
- Function as a specialist in the use and application of Ansys Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation tools (Fluent, CFX);
- Provide technical support and training for Customers in Middle-East region by responding to Customer inquiries, guiding them through challenging industrial applications and recommending the most appropriate simulation usage;
- Support the sales team in the engagement with the Customers from the technical point of view, participating in meetings, performing live presentations as well as demo cases, and developing case studies to show the Customers how the Ansys solutions can help them to improve their productivity and revenue
- Execute projects and actively participate in R&D projects to support the Customers’ design/engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, efficient post-sales technical support through email and telephone
- Prepare and deliver basic/advanced training for new and existing customers
- Develop technical support repositories that help Ansys customers to be more productive and efficient
- Create elegant and useful solutions to solve complex problems by working across various teams and understanding the needs of our customers
- Lead/Assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations
- Create and demonstrate simulation solutions to streamline Customer workflows, in support of the software sales process
- Be responsible for articulating Ansys’ value proposition which may encompass its entire suite of products for various industry segments; the presentations must affirm the sales message, differentiate Ansys, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences which can include senior company executives
- Work independently to analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customers’ current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows
- Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with customers
- Work collaboratively with Customers to ensure their successful use of ANSYS products, sustain a renewals revenue stream and cultivate opportunities to expand software licenses.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:
- Hold an MSc/PhD in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical/Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Chemical, Environmental)
- Have a strong background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer fundamentals and expertise in CFD analysis and general numerical methods
- Have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in solving CFD applications, of which 3 at least using Ansys tools
- Have a very good understanding of heat transfer and turbulence. Knowledge about multiphase flows, combustion/reactive flows, and/or FSI will be considered an advantage
- Have demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to Customers
- Have a logical problem-solving approach and the ability to communicate the situation and proposed solution to the Customer in a clear manner
- Possess a sense of urgency, dedication, and strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Have an engaging personality, engineering curiosity and willingness for continuous learning
- Project a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
- Have the ability to travel up to 20%.
