QuantaSim and EDGE Group Unveil Drone Prototype at MIITE 2026, Highlighting Collaborative Innovation and Rapid Prototyping

Engineering Bootcamp 3.0 set to start in September to strengthen industry capabilities by equipping Emirati talent with practical engineering skills for innovation and accelerated production

QuantaSim and EDGE have announced the showcasing of an advanced drone prototype developed in collaboration during Phase 1 of the BRIDGE Engineering Bootcamp, held from August 2025 to April 2026. The announcement was made during the Make it in Emirates 2026 (MIITE 2026) forum taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 4 to 7 May 2026.

The drone was developed by BRIDGE, the Group’s upskilling hub for operational excellence and process industrialization, with the support of QuantaSim, a training and engineering consultancy and services arm of Fluid Codes, its parent software reseller organization. Fluid Codes is the exclusive channel partner of Ansys in the Middle East (part of Synopsys), a global leader in engineering simulation.

The official display of the drone prototype highlights a new benchmark in collaborative innovation and rapid prototyping. This development reflects the emerging UAE talent, combined with the expertise of QuantaSim’s training specialists and engineering teams, demonstrating the power of hands-on, simulation-driven learning.

The comprehensive nine-month training bootcamp was aimed at empowering the next generation of engineers by equipping them with practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and an innovative mindset required to thrive in critical sectors such as aerospace and defense. The program was attended by engineers and specialists, with a majority of them coming from EDGE entity, HALCON.

BRIDGE is set to launch Bootcamp 3.0 in September and will be open to various local organizations beyond the Group with upskilling and hands-on experiences for rapid innovation and product development across sectors with an AI-first approach.

The Engineering Bootcamp is designed for early-career engineers and blends an in-depth, interdisciplinary approach to learning. Centered around the V-Cycle model for product development, the program provides participants with hands-on training in mechanical, electrical, aerodynamics, and control systems. Through advanced tools like Engineering Simulation, participants will develop practical prototypes and gain real-world experience by working on industry-relevant projects. The program’s emphasis on innovation, problem-solving, and collaboration ensures that engineers are well-prepared to tackle complex challenges within any industry.
